Ademola Lookman a r\u00e9alis\u00e9 la performance de sa vie lors de la plus grande soir\u00e9e de sa carri\u00e8re, marquant un tripl\u00e9 sensationnel pour propulser l'Atalanta vers une victoire 3-0 contre le favori Bayer Leverkusen en finale de l'UEFA Europa League. Les hommes de Xabi Alonso, qui n'avaient pas connu la d\u00e9faite lors de leurs 51 matches pr\u00e9c\u00e9dents toutes comp\u00e9titions confondues, n'ont pas pu tenir t\u00eate aux guerriers de Gian Piero Gasperini. L'Atalanta ne leur a pas laiss\u00e9 de place pour respirer et Lookman s'est assur\u00e9 que ses tirs trouvaient le fond des filets.<\/p>\n

Le Bayer Leverkusen, vainqueur de la Bundesliga, est entr\u00e9 dans le match dans une forme exceptionnelle. Ils ont connu une saison nationale historique sans d\u00e9faite, terminant avec 17 points d'avance sur Stuttgart, deuxi\u00e8me. Alonso a \u00e9t\u00e9 f\u00e9licit\u00e9 pour avoir orchestr\u00e9 des retours spectaculaires, \u00e0 maintes reprises, match apr\u00e8s match. Malheureusement pour lui et ses gar\u00e7ons, l'Atalanta de Gasperini ne leur a pas donn\u00e9 l'occasion de lever les yeux.<\/p>\n

Sous Gasperini, l'Atalanta a d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 la r\u00e9putation de jouer un football explosif. Ils ont press\u00e9 fort du d\u00e9but \u00e0 la fin, sans pause ni h\u00e9sitation, obligeant l'opposition \u00e0 commettre une erreur. Bien entendu, le style agressif ne fonctionne pas toujours. De nombreuses \u00e9quipes ont jou\u00e9 avec leur presse effr\u00e9n\u00e9e, exploit\u00e9 les lacunes qu'elles laissaient derri\u00e8re elles. Cependant, Leverkusen pourrait trouver l'antidote \u00e0 temps pour sauver son match.<\/p>\n

L'Atalanta a forc\u00e9 Leverkusen \u00e0 c\u00e9der le ballon \u00e0 la septi\u00e8me minute, ouvrant la voie \u00e0 une occasion d\u00e9cente pour Gianluca Scamacca. L'avant-centre n'a cependant pas r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 obtenir un contact net et le ballon est pass\u00e9 hors de danger. Quatre minutes plus tard, Lookman frappait et s'\u00e9lan\u00e7ait dans la surface depuis la gauche pour apporter la touche finale au centre \u00e0 ras de terre de Davide Zappacosta dans la surface. Lookman en a ajout\u00e9 deux de plus de chaque c\u00f4t\u00e9 de la mi-temps pour sceller la victoire, mais l'Atalanta aurait pu en avoir quelques autres si elle avait \u00e9t\u00e9 encore plus clinique.<\/p>\n

Au stade Aviva, mercredi 22 mai, l'Atalanta a tent\u00e9 10 tirs, dont sept ont cadr\u00e9. Ils ont volontiers c\u00e9d\u00e9 la possession (33 contre 67) et ont jou\u00e9 beaucoup moins de passes (236 contre 564), mais ont facilement d\u00e9stabilis\u00e9 Leverkusen. Ils ont effectu\u00e9 11 interceptions, bloqu\u00e9 deux tirs et obtenu 23 d\u00e9gagements. Et lorsqu\u2019ils \u00e9taient en possession, ils n\u2019ont pas gaspill\u00e9 de passes lors des changements de jeu, d\u00e9livrant 26 longs ballons pr\u00e9cis.<\/p>\n

L'Atalanta a r\u00e9alis\u00e9 un superbe match contre Leverkusen. Mais cela n\u2019aurait servi \u00e0 rien si Lookman n\u2019avait pas \u00e9t\u00e9 l\u00e0 pour apporter la touche finale. Alors que son premier but montrait sa conscience d'attaquant, les deux autres mettaient en lumi\u00e8re sa finition impeccable.<\/p>\n

\u00c0 la 26e minute, il r\u00e9cup\u00e8re le ballon \u00e0 environ 40 m\u00e8tres du but. Il a progress\u00e9 dans le canal int\u00e9rieur gauche avant de d\u00e9passer le d\u00e9fi de Granit Xhaka, de couper vers l'int\u00e9rieur et de trouver le coin inf\u00e9rieur droit avec un tir depuis le bord du \u00ab\u00a0D\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n

Son troisi\u00e8me but est survenu \u00e0 la 75e minute, encore une fois gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 un excellent jeu sur les ailes. Recevant le ballon de Scamacca juste \u00e0 l'int\u00e9rieur de la surface, Lookman a r\u00e9ussi un enjambement soign\u00e9 pour prendre le ballon \u00e0 l'\u00e9cart de la surface avant d'envoyer un coup de tonnerre du pied gauche pour trouver le coin sup\u00e9rieur droit.
